own poses of screwy

I started with these roughs, I find the poses better in the roughs (much more life).

I tried it again and I wanted to loosen up. I learn allot of doing this.

Very solid. Based on my own experience, I think I know why you like the roughs better, but it is hard to put into words. When you were drawing the roughs you weren't thinking too much, you just 'felt' the poses, and that gives them more 'life.' In the finished drawings, you were carefully trying to copy the poses in the roughs, while applying construction techniques you've worked so hard for. Because you were more careful and thinking more, the have less of the 'life' from the roughs. What I'm trying to say is that the state of mind you were in while doing the drawings is different, and it shows. Again my observations are based on my own personal experience, and may not apply at all to your drawings.

You are right, that is also the way I am feeling it. The roughs are really quick scribbles of a image in my head, the drawings are a copy of the roughs.
Maybe I need to loosen up or I need to practise, practise, practise, practise, practise, practise, practise, practise etc.
